10 Video Game Cliffhangers That Went NOWHERE

6. The Order: 1886 (2015)

Days Gone
Ready At Dawn

The Order: 1886 was a game with so much promise, thanks to its (at the time) stunning visuals and cool steampunk Victorian setting. But, the final product was about as inspiring as a wet carrot and as quick as a trip to the shops. Perhaps a sequel could have made things better, but, as you can guess, it never got the chance.

This third-person shooter took place in an alternate version of London full of retrofuturistic technology and supernatural creatures. You played Sir Galahad, a soldier leading the fight against werewolves and vampires.

After battling against Lycan threats, the protagonist took the fall for a conspiracy within The Order and was banished from London. The game's final note showed him overlooking the city from a rooftop as Nicola Tesla (yes really) informed him that it was being put under martial law.

However, just as he was told to leave, he replied that he was "Galahad no more," setting up the idea that he would tackle this out-of-control London. Sadly, he's still sitting on that rooftop to this day, as that sequel never happened and never will.
