10 Video Game Developers That Sony Should Buy

This one is sure to annoy gamers across PC, Xbox, and even Nintendo, but Sony has a great relationship with Japanese developer From Software that has produced two exclusive titles and it's one that could become a lot more symbiotic.

FromSoftware has been around for many years, making such titles as Armored Core, Dark Souls, and the recently released Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. It has become famous for creating games so hard that gamers break controllers, however they're also so rewarding and rich in lore that we can't help but be gluttons for punishment.

Funnily enough, the studio actually first developed its soul-crushing style of game on a PlayStation exclusive title: Demon Souls. Similarly to Until Dawn, it seems Sony had no idea what it had in its hands then, because it let FromSoftware move on and craft Dark Souls for all platforms. The two companies did work together again to produce the excellent Bloodborne in 2015 though, and a sequel has been rumoured ever since.

In the interim, FromSoftware created a PSVR title called Déraciné, which actually had a hint towards a sequel, so there's hope yet for more Bloodborne. FromSoftware is quickly becoming a massive studio, so either Sony makes a play to sign it up now, or the opportunity will be gone forever.
