10 Video Game Difficulty Modes You Must Complete Without Dying Once
4. Batman Arkham Origins - I am the Night
The Batman Arkham games have always offered some of the best superhero action in recent memory and when it comes to making you feel like the caped crusader, Rocksteady's three main entries have been unsurpassed.
Generally, with enough skill most players can play through each entry without much issue. Bump the difficulty up to hard though and you'll be met with deadlier enemies alongside the removal of counter indicators in the game's freeflow combat system.
When it came to the third entry in the series, WB Games Montreal took over the development duties on Arkham Origins, a prequel to Asylum that was met with a lesser critical reception. One of the things they did bring to the series was "I am the Night"; a permadeath mode that incorporates the previous elements of hard difficulty with only one life to live.
Halfway through Arkham Origins on I am the Night? Get taken out by one unnamed sniper? Tough, you've got to do it all over again. With so many dangers to the Dark Knight across the map, I am the Night ranks as one of the most gut-wrenching difficulties on the list. Imagine making it all the way to the final boss fight with Bane, only to thrown back to the start.
