10 Video Game Franchises Who Desperately Need A Win

2. Dead Rising

Call of Duty WWII
Capcom

Dead Rising 1 and 2 are arguably the game zombie fans dream about come to like, essentially a video-game version of Dawn of the Dead where everything is a weapon and they can do anything they want.

Dead Rising 3 was actually a solid entry but between middling reviews and lacking the personality or memorable locations of the previous entries, it quickly faded from memory.

Then Dead Rising 4 was spearheaded by the worst possible developers who abandoned all the tropes that made the series great. Removing the timer made the game lose any tension, and it tried so hard to make gamers god-like killing machines that there was absolutely no challenge involved.

Obnoxious studio manufactured humor and tone were nothing like what they had come to love and they turned Frank West into a 2-bit Ash Williams knockoff without the charm. The game was clearly created cheap and to appease the widest possible audience, in the process failing to shift a million units.

The Franchise needs someone with a passion for the first 2 games to take over the series and deliver a big winning fourth sequel. If not, the most diverse zombie killing simulator on the market might be rendered permanently deceased.
