While Big Sisters - the female equivalents of the more hilariously named Big Daddies - are somewhere between a miniboss and a regular enemy, it's perhaps fairer to call them really powerful regular enemies.

Because, while they're intimidating enemies, they're not impossible to defeat so long as you have a skill with your gun, your plasmids, and a healthy stock of health tonics on hand - you know, like most enemies.

But the sisters are difficult in the same sense many players likely initially struggled with spider splicers, because they're both as fast as a greased pig in rocket-powered roller-skates, not to mention about as unpredictable as one. For players used to the slow but powerful punches of a Big Daddy, this can offer a fair share of issues, as many of those who finished the first Bioshock weren't expecting these roided tweens to be so speedy.

As the final boss for the sequel can either be consider to be your old pal Augustus Sinclair - who you at this point in the game can crush like a stale Twiglet - or the waves of enemies you have to face off at the very conclusion, you'd be forgiven for thinking than the Big Sisters were maybe the most powerful threat you face along your way.
