The Yu-Gi-Oh video game franchise has one entirely weird trend, and that's putting in "regular" opponents with incredibly powerful decks. Anyone who's played one has strange, murky memories of facing a barista, train conductor, or other assorted miscreant, only to find that they could absolutely wipe the floor with your current deck.

The most annoying of these by a fair margin is that of Minegishi, who you can face in Over the Nexus, which also has the slightly less palatable title of the 2011 5D Championship game. Minegishi is an early fight in the game - which is also why opposing him is so hard. He runs what fans of the series or card game would call an "Anti-Meta" deck, which basically just means his cards are set to punish a lot of more popular choices you could have in your own deck, and to set a lot of potential tactics off-kilter.

Which is unfortunate, because if you just started the game, popular cards will be mostly what you have. Your current cards will pale in comparison to this strange Scorpio, and thus you're left on the back foot trying to actually defeat him.

And nobody wants to be beat by a weird techno cowboy - not now, not ever,
