10 Video Game Guinness World Records That Will Blow You Away

3. Highest Score On Guitar Hero III (Female)

Part of Guitar Hero's success was the fact it was a throwback to video games during the age of the arcade. Competing for high scores on GH wasn't just done with your friends in your front room, it also went global with online leaderboards. Guitar Hero did so well that a version of III became an arcade hit in the 21st century, a time when arcades are just a sideshow in shopping centres or 10-pin bowling complexes (at least in the UK).

The current world record for a high score is held by Annie Leung from San Francisco, USA. Set way, way back in 2010, Leung scored a massive 789,349 on - what else? - Through The Fire And Flames by Dragonforce. You can see a profile video of Leung here.

Others have posted massive scores like 985,206 for the same song: Danny Johnson being one of them. But nobody has yet challenged Leung in the female category!
