10 Video Game Mechanics You Totally Ignored (But Shouldn't Have)
7. Unrelenting Force - Skyrim
The Unrelenting Force (Fus Ro Dah) should be the first dragon shout you learn while playing Skyrim. This ability proves useful in the early stages since it can stun, stagger, or knock enemies back. It's also a great way to immobilise an overwhelming foe, giving you time to flee.
But after learning how to reanimate the dead, unleash an inferno, or call upon a lightning storm, players will be less inclined to call upon the Unrelenting Force. After all, why settle for a telekinetic push when you have full control of the elements?
But the Unrelenting Force shouldn't be discarded. If you unleash this dragon shout on enemies while standing beside a fort wall, cliff, or mountain, you can cause them to tumble off the edge. This should kill them instantly, regardless of their level, armour, or health. Even if they survive, it'll take them a while to climb back up, so there's no need to immediately worry about them.
Even when you've levelled up to the max, have more swords than you can carry, and mastered every spell under the sun, the Unrelenting Force is still worth using.
