5. The Second-Half Of The Game - Golden Sun

Golden Sun is an astounding RPG for the Game Boy Advance, which centred around magic-wielders called Adepts trying to save their world from an ancient evil. On your travels, Isaac, Garet, Ivan, and Mia must stop two warlocks, Saturos and Menardi, from activating four Alchemic lighthouses.

Although your squad ultimately defeat Satuors and Menardi, the pair trigger two Lighthouses before perishing. Isaac then tells his friends they need to locate the other lighthouses to ensure nobody activates them.

Then the game decides to suddenly end.

Wait, what the happened? There's like a dozen unresolved plots! You can't finish it like that!

Well, it turns out the story continues in the sequel, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, which was released the following year. But because Golden Sun wasn't advertised as a two-parter, many gamers were left bewildered, since it felt like they only completed half a game.

Even though both titles are excellent in their own right, players couldn't pretend they weren't ticked off when the credits roll halfway through the story.

I mean, they could've at least called the first game Golden Sun: Part 1 or something!
