9. The Merchant - Resident Evil 4 (2005)
One of the most memorable starring roles of Resident Evil 4 is the cockney-accented salesman who buys your junk and sells you new guns with a warm chuckle.
There's a lot of theories surrounding The Merchant in Resident Evil 4? Is he infected? After all, he seems to be safe from the angry villagers and monsters. Additionally, he makes the sound of screaming Ganado when killed.

In easier difficulties, taking out the Merchant isn't so bad since he'll respawn after a short time. In Professional Mode however, this isn't the case. The Merchant you killed is gone for good. This actually kicked off a theory that there's more than just one of the robed, rocket-launcher-selling salesmen since he does appear later even if you kill him and it would explain his ability to teleport about the place so fast.
Whatever the case, it's generally advised that you don't take this route. Just because you can doesn't men you should!
