10 Video Game Platformers That Deserve A Remake

1. Banjo Kazooie

Sure, we got Yooka Laylee, but we, as gamers, deserve a Banjo Kazooie remaster. It is the collect-a-thon that defined the genre, and in many eyes, has not been topped. One of the most charming N64 games, Banjo managed to straddle the line between large open maps and tight-knit exploration. You didn't have to walk far to find a new challenge and the levels were small enough that you don't waste time back-tracking.

Banjo is the perfect example of simplicity. It is a collect-a-thon and it knows it. Everything is about the next thing to collect and the game never stops dead in its tracks. You are always finding something satisfying.

Games have tried to replicate the formula, but none have really come close to the original. So, just give us that! But don't pull a Conker: Reloaded and make Banjo look realistic.
