8. The Legend Of Zelda
Fans of the Zelda series have been crying out for a live action adaption of the games for years and were even fooled into thinking they were getting one when IGN hilariously released a movie trailer as an April fools prank – fooling far more people than are willing to admit it!
Like the Elder Scrolls, Zelda incorporates the usual fantasy aspects such as magic and fictional races, but unlike The Elder Scrolls, Zelda contains a set of more defined memorable characters that have made an appearance throughout the majority of the games in the series.
The plot of the games – although a simple one – usually revolves around the central character Link, who discovers his destiny is to rescue Princess Zelda and save the kingdom of Hyrule from his arch-enemy, Ganon.
While any Zelda TV series would no doubt be watched by millions of fans of the games, in reality it would be a difficult task to make a live action Zelda series without it coming off as cheesy, meaning that if Netflix did decide to adapt the Nintendo classic, it might be a better option to make an animated series instead – like they did with Castlevania.
