10 Video Game Signs You HAD To Ignore

5. Archdragon Peak Bell - Dark Souls III (2016)

RESIDENT EVIL 4
Bandai Namco

"Nothing will remain once the bell has tolled." Well, that's an invitation if I've ever heard one!

Archdragon Peak is an insanely well-hidden area in Dark Souls III, and if you're observant enough to find it, the dragon-human hybrids there are not going to give you an easy time. Make your way up to the Giant Belfry and you'll find the bell in question, still and untouched.

In front of it is a lever, and in front of that is a very obviously placed developer message telling you not to ring the bell. If you're being a good little Unkindled, you might just take this advice and move on. Let's be honest, though, curiosity got the better of all of us here.

Pulling the lever and ringing the bell turns the sky around it an ominous dark, and along the pathway of clouds it forms is the Nameless King, universally agreed to be one of the toughest bosses of the entire Dark Souls series.

A few deaths into this boss, you'll be kicking yourself for ever having rung that goddamn bell. But you did, and now your poor little character has got to pay for your ignorance. Have fun getting lightning'ed to death for the next five hours.
