3. "No Fishing" - Resident Evil 4 (2005)
Of all the horrendous things that go on in Resident Evil 4, you'd expect rules against fishing in the lake to be the least of people's problems. And as virtually everyone in the village is a zombified crazy by the time Leon Kennedy gets there, there's nobody around to call him out on it if you decide to sidle up to that temptingly forbidden water.
In the lake area is a sign that reads, "No fishing" - which, of course, means you have to. And when there's no rod to hand, you can always use your trusty handgun to get the job done.
"Where's the harm in bagging me a couple of fish?" you're probably thinking as you leap to the end of the jetty and start popping caps in the flippy little fishies. Keep doing it and you'll find out very quickly indeed.
And as you jump out of your skin when Del Lago, the mutated giant salamander of the lake, bursts out of the water and devours Leon whole, you might think back to that oh-so-forgettable sign telling you not to disturb the fish...or you might go back and do the exact same thing again.
