10 Video Game Weapons With INSANE Requirements

Let's be blunt: without a guide, you will never find Final Fantasy XII's ultimate weapon, the Zodiac Spear. Not because of a time limit like FFIX's Excalibur II or a convoluted obstacle course like Halo 2's Scarab Gun.

The Zodiac Spear is impossible to find on your own because there's no reason anyone would ever do what's required: avoid unlocking four specific treasure chests scattered throughout the game.

The spear itself is located in a dungeon called the Necrohol Of Nabudis, but will only appear in a specific chest if no one in your party is wearing a diamond armlet. Why? Because it wasn't pointless enough already, I guess.

All of this is because - I don't know - someone had to implement the spear ten minutes before the game went gold and panicked. This has got to be somehow the most secret, most arbitrary method to unlock an item that is also, technically, the easiest one on this list.

If you're a normal person who opened those chests like anyone would, there is a 1 in 1,000 chance of it spawning in an optional area of a previously visited dungeon: the Henne Mines. Good luck with that.
