10 Video Game Weapons You Cheated To Get

Cheating at its core is about doing what you shouldn’t, but if your parent or guardian leaves the cookie jar out then it’s hard to resist.

The Street Sweeper is a fully automatic shotgun that was due to be added to Call of Duty’s Warzone mode as part of the mid-season update. Somehow a few switches on the backend seemed to be activated early however. Players, by pure chance, began to unlock the gun before it was officially launched as the method to get it was rather straightforward: make 3 kills with shotguns in 15 matches.

Word spread quickly that the Street Sweeper had arrived and most players didn’t care why, instead racing to get it as soon as possible. It was especially desirable because of the progression being tied between Warzone and Cold War, meaning players could then take it into the latter. Also, it was really rather good - meaning that players with it often had an advantage.

Developers Treyarch caught onto this, trying their best to clamp down on it. It eventually launched as intended but, like stealing from the cookie jar, it was way more fun when you weren’t supposed to have it.
