10 Video Game Weapons You Cheated To Get

4. Cardboard Tube - Hitman: Contracts

Gold plated guns and super impressive swords are one thing but the best kind of ultimate weapon is one that doesn’t take itself too seriously. A perfect example of this is Hitman: Contracts’ Cardboard Tube which looks exactly how it sounds but packs one hell of a wallop.

Despite its components, this simple piece of garbage winds up being the most overpowered weapon in the game. Not only is it capable of one hit kills, it also sends any poor foe stupid enough to get in its way flying through the air. It's not just the most powerful weapon in Contracts but in the entire series… and it’s hilarious too.

Apparently, the tube is a reward for beating the Training level of the game with a Silent Assassin ranking but this seems to be nigh-on or perhaps entirely impossible. As such, thankfully, there is a cheat code to get it in the form of a button input on console or the console command “IOIPENNY”. The latter of these is actually a reference to web-comic Penny Arcade, which is where the idea of an overpowered cardboard tube comes from to begin with.

Who needs stealth or even guns when you can lie in wait and obliterate any enemy who gets close enough with your metre of cylindrical cardboard?
