10 Video Games That Would Be Awesome In First Person

2. Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider is a series that fell on hard times until it was perfectly resurrected in 2013 with the Crystal Dynamics-developed reboot, painting Lara Croft as a real, three-dimensional character. Lara was a real person, shaped by the harrowing events that she experienced on the island known as Yamatai. It was exactly what she needed, but it's interesting to consider what might happen if you showed the world entirely from Lara's perspective. The series is no stranger to perspective shifts, as the excellent Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light put the series into a top-down view, so why not allow us to raid some tombs from a much more intimate viewpoint? After all, we've already taken the much needed steps to redefine Lara Croft into someone more believable, so it seems like a valid step to see the world of Tomb Raider from her eyes. Scaling the tremendous mountains, trudging through the dark tombs, it's all perfect for a first person perspective and would allow the player an even more concrete connection with Lara.
