10 Video Games Coming In 2020 (And Beyond)
1. System Shock Remake & System Shock 3
Good news, Bioshock fans, the game that started it all with its creepy atmosphere and innovative mechanics is coming back to your consoles in a fully realised remake, which sees the original System Shock reimagined without the constraints of its 1994 release. System Shock is one of the few upcoming games with a full, actual, release date (window) too, said to land in Q1 of 2020.
The game sees you on a floating space vessel packed with the unfortunate remains of a crew and of course, a whole host of evil robot enemies under the command of the game art's central spooky AI, SHODAN. Getting to the bottom of what's going on takes skill, stealth, and a trusty length of pipe.
System Shock is the physical definition of seminal in the gaming industry, so to see it brought back to life in greater glory will be something to behold. And if that isn't quite exciting enough, we're also getting the third entry into the franchise, as confirmed by Otherside Studios.
System Shock 3 is in a far more secretive state at time of writing, but the initial details we've heard, everything looks to be on track. Expect big things to come with this healthy dose of double trouble, ready to drop by this time next year.
