10 Video Games Hidden Inside Other Video Games
1. Gnat Attack In Super Mario Maker
I love and loathe the Super Mario Maker games. On one side they are a glorious example of a player creativity, allowing people to showcase their level building skills and make others flex their mental muscles as they try to figure them out ...and on the other side it’s a troll infested swamp with awfully designed courses and some that are designed to only be completed by a bot, and yes I am salty, thank you for noticing.
However there’s actually a game hidden with this game about making a game and that...er...game is none other than Gnat Attack, or at least it’s an updated one.
In the original Mario Paint, the player could select this mini game and take a break from colouring in to doing insects in, and it even came complete with a mini boss.
It was simple, fun and a good way to blow off steam if you’d struggled to stay within the lines. Mario Maker also included this swat to trot title, which could be accessed by letting the game sit idle for 15 minutes then quickly tapping on 3 insects that appear.
This launches the game and trust me, it’s never been more fun to crush a bothersome bug than with the touch screen and a cat paw as your icon. Glorious.
