10 Video Games Impossible To Beat Without A Guide
5. Discworld
If you've never read the legendary Discworld series by the late great Terry Pratchett, you should consider fixing that to be your civic duty. However, if you find the notorious PC/PS1 game of the same name, feel free to give it a VERY wide berth.
There are two point-and-click games left on this list, one being Discworld and the other we'll get to in a bit, that are considered by many to be the most egregious examples of the stereotypes associated with the genre. Think Monkey Island 2 was out there with its puzzles, at least that game took place in a world resembling logic.
In the madcap, zany world of The Disc? Where you can walk out your door and see the embodiment of the concept of Death galloping by on his horse named Binky? Where if you leave letters just lying around in great enough number and in close enough proximity they'll just start straight up talking to you? Yeah it stands to reason any video game loyally adapting these books would be a bit bizarre.
Some of the puzzles in this game are not only bizarre, but they are LONG and have very VERY specific steps to them that must be undertaken in an exact order, or it's back to the beginning. If you're a hardcore Pratchett lover, by all means give this game a go, but make sure you have a YouTube walkthrough on another tab.
