10 Video Games Made INTENTIONALLY Bad To Prove A Point

While not mechanically "bad" all the time, the game collection is certainly terrifying. Weird and upsetting re-castings of the classic gaming hedgehog seem part of the draw for this highly unconventional title.

It should be noted that Sega expressly disavows this game. It is not hard to see why. Although Sonic games have had some recent infamy in terms of critical reception, none have got quite this weird. Well, Sonic '06 got close when he kissed an actual, living human woman - but still did not get quite as weird as Sonic Dreams Collection.

Part alternate reality game, part parody, part weird MMO dating simulator, this collection of micro-fiction games revolving around that once innocent blue hedgehog go into some strange places. Framed as a hack of unreleased Sonic content by Arcane Kids, they really stretch the definition of the phrases "game", "enjoyment" and "oh god why did I download this" to their respective extremes.

This admittedly uncomfortable little project is still relatively ambitious, with some practically eldritch morphing of the franchises sometimes breaking the weird horror-esque tension into piles of hilarity. It is free to download and play from the Arcane Kids' website, but do so at your own risk. Probably do not do it on a work computer.
