10 Video Games NO ONE Can Agree On

9. Days Gone

Days Gone Decan
Sony

To many, Days Gone is one of the most underrated AAA games of the last decade, while to others it's yet another slice of bloated open world slop.

The game launched to mixed reviews in 2019, with many criticising its dull story and characters, wildly overlong campaign, and abundance of performance issues.

However, Days Gone's esteem did grow with players in the years that followed - as it was patched into shape and later released on PC, many felt that it got a raw deal on initial launch.

The gorgeous setting of post-apocalyptic Oregon and sheer number of zombie-like Freakers which can pursue the player at any one time have ensured that Days Gone has remained popular in the six years since release.

But there are also those who remain unconvinced, feeling that in an era where passable open world games are extremely commonplace, Days Gone just isn't good enough, especially given the general consistency of Sony's AAA offerings.

Tellingly despite being a solid seller, Bend Studio's pitch for a sequel was ultimately rejected by Sony.
