10 Video Games NO ONE Can Agree On
8. DmC: Devil May Cry

It can't be overstated how ferociously polarising Capcom's 2013 Devil May Cry reboot became from the moment it was announced.
Many fans inherently loathed the idea of Capcom wiping the slate clean rather than simply delivering Devil May Cry 5.
And things only got worse when protagonist Dante was redesigned as a black-haired, skinny emo edgelord - far from the more put-together badass fans had come to love over the course of the first four games.
But DmC ultimately released to solid reviews from critics, and more open-minded players found themselves confessing, perhaps begrudgingly, that the fluid gameplay, creative boss fights, and stylish art direction made it a ton of fun to play.
Yet Dante was and remains the undeniable elephant in the room, his intentionally obnoxious personality turning off many fans to the extent that they can't bring themselves to enjoy everything else DmC has to offer.
Though Capcom abandoned the DmC series in light of mediocre sales and followed up with a traditional Devil May Cry 5 in 2019, the reboot still can't be discussed today without stoking the fiery embers of a wounded fanbase that just won't forget.
