10 Video Games That Hold Your Hand WAY Too Much
3. Resident Evil 6
Resident Evil 6 is the most polarising game in the franchise for many reasons, not least that the Leon campaign kicks off with an agonisingly dull, overly "curated" onboarding sequence.
Amid the chaos, you're forced to babysit Helena through much of the prologue, gorge yourself on QTEs until you're absolutely sick of them, take a hilariously basic course in herbology, and very, very occasionally fend off zombies.
On top of this, there's the game's generally overpowering linearity and hideous objective markers which ensure there's never any opportunity for you to be steered wrong, as instantly makes the action-packed Resident Evil 6 a less anxious experience than its predecessors.
It couldn't be much more of a polar opposite to the earlier games in the series, which at least had the confidence in players to explore and figure things out for themselves without constant objective and button prompts.
