10 Video Games That Let You DESTROY The Final Boss

3. Calasmos - Dragon Quest XI

Demon King Ganondorf

After defeating Mordegon in Dragon Quest XI, it looks like the story is all wrapped up. But if Hero continues on after "beating" the game, he will have the opportunity to face the true antagonist, Calasmos The Dark One.

Even though Mordegon is tough, few are prepared for this monumental showdown. Calasmos unleashes so many outrageous attacks in quick succession, Hero's party are barely given a chance to retaliate.

Attacks like Kaboomle, Kaswooshle, and Party Pooper may sound silly, but they'll obliterate Hero's party in an instant. Worst of all, the most powerful attacks, combos, and spells barely make a dent in Calasmos' health. Because of this, there are times where the odious deity genuinely seems unbeatable.

However, there is a simple but bizarre method to emerge victorious against The Dark One. After defeating Mordegon, Hero will be able to obtain the Super Sword of Light.

Although this blade doesn't seem powerful, it will leave Calamos heavily weakened, but ONLY if it's used as an item, not a weapon. Afterward, Hero's attacks will cause much more damage, allowing him to finish the cosmic being once and for all.
