10 Video Games That Reward You For LYING
6. Become Lizardfolk's God And Get Stuff For Free - Neverwinter Nights 2
Neverwinter Nights 2 is an RPG set in the Dungeons and Dragons setting that, like the tabletop game, allows the player to create a custom character that can fight not only with swords and spells, but also words.
A good example of that is the final boss fight in the prologue, which you can completely omit by being a really effective liar!
In the intro to the game, your character's adoptive father sends you to retrieve an ancient artifact from an old swamp.
The item is located deep inside a tomb occupied by wild lizardfolk, and although you have to fight through their ranks for most of the section, the final, most difficult encounter can be completely skipped with a lie.
In the final chamber, you find a small army of lizardfolk who are praying to a deity called the stone god. If your deception is high enough, you can tell them that you are an avatar of their deity, and if they believe you, you can peacefully tell them to leave so you can search for the artifact.
This decision will not only skip a tough final fight but also award you with extra EXP for faking your way into becoming a cult leader!
