Combat isn't the only way to resolve things in Baldur's Gate 3. There are a lot of sections that you can get through with nothing but your character's persuasion skills and, of course, lying.

The best example of this is possibly the encounter with the hellish hunter Yurgir, which you can completely omit by tricking him into killing himself!

Yurgir is an Orthon (a type of D&D devil) who was cursed to be trapped inside a Sharran temple until all of its guardians are killed. Despite having spent centuries slaughtering the inhabitants, he seems to be permanently stuck, and so he attacks anything inside on sight.

He's an incredibly dangerous opponent with a small army of loyal devils, but luckily for you, you don't have to fight him!

With proper deception and persuasion, you can offer to help Yurgir break the curse. This will allow you to make several checks in which you trick him into killing his soldiers, then his beloved pet, and finally, himself!

The best part about this is that you don't need to know the actual solution to break the curse, as you're just making stuff up on the spot to make him defeat himself for you!

A lying tongue is mightier than sword!
