The ever-outlandish Earthworm Jim series isn’t one to take anything at all seriously. It’s a wonderful blend of toilet humour, weirdness and attitude that just screams 1990s, and it’s utterly priceless as a result.

With all of this in mind, it’s no surprise that the series holds a lot of silly secrets, one of which even fans may never have seen: it pops up only when completing the original title on easy mode (in Earthworm Jim Special Edition).

Doing so prompts a sarcastic “U’re the best!” Message to appear on screen, followed by one of the snarkiest voice overs you’ll ever witness. The voice says, “What a worm! Playing on practise, eh?” This is followed by a 3-4 minute diatribe regaling the player with various facts about worms.

Your reward for watching these credits (the actual names follow in due course) is a very different but equally valuable one: wormy knowledge.

The actual ending, meanwhile, in only accessible by completing the game on a harder difficulty.
