10 Video Games That Were ROBBED At The Game Awards 2018
8. Beat Saber
2018 was the year that virtual reality came into its own. After some initial growing pains, developers seemingly figured out how to use the tech and we got some incredible experiences this year. With that in mind, it's clear that VR in general was robbed at The Game Awards.
One of the best VR experiences of 2018 was the incredibly-addictive Beat Saber. The game is part Guitar Hero, part Star Wars, and all fun. The premise is simple; you use two controllers like light sabers and hit the notes in the correct direction as they near you.
Rhythm games have always been a blast, but virtual reality has given them a new lease on life. Beat Saber is sensory overload and the kind of game you get your aunts, uncles, grandparents, and such to try at Christmastime.
Beat Saber was nominated for Best VR Game at The Game Awards and lost out to the fantastic Astro Bot Rescue Mission. While that's totally understandable, it's just a crying shame that this game couldn't garner some sort of award for its ingenuity and addictive nature.
