10 Video Games That Will Eventually Be Regarded As Masterpieces
7. No Man's Sky
Hold up; how can a game that's still some six months away from release be worth a place on this list? What if it turns out to be an unmitigated failure or - perhaps worse - distinctly average game? Well, just hear me out for a moment. While I'm definitely excited to play this - it's one of the most anticipated games of 2016 - the thing I can be sure of, however, is that the sheer nature of its production and development means it's almost guaranteed a certain sense of accomplishment after release. It's procedurally generated sandbox universe is the most ambitious ever attempted, touted to feature over 18 quintillion planets to explore. While it is also due to include adventure and survival elements as well, it is this most ambitious feature that will see the game become a success in its own league, providing a landmark in game world-building that'll most likely find a string of imitators in the coming years.
