10 Video Games Too Scary To Finish

1. Alien Isolation

Siren Blood Curse
Sega

Alien is one of the greatest sci-fi horrors of all time. Back when the first film came out, it changed the landscape of the genre and pushed the limits on what audiences could expect going forward. As much as we love it, though, it's one franchise we would never want to find ourselves in.

In Alien Isolation, we get that opportunity to find ourselves in the centre of a story involving a space station and the xenomorphs. Yay. Lucky us. We play as Amanda Ripley, the iconic Ellen's daughter, trying to find her mother.

This game is one of the most intensely scary experiences you'll ever have while playing a game. In fact, you'll spend hardly any time playing and most of your time cowering in a corner, crying and hoping that the alien won't catch you. It's not just xenomorphs out to get you. Oh, no. There are androids and humans as well.

As you traverse the doomed space station, you'll have a bleeping motion tracker to help you see where the xenomorph is. It's not much help because it just keeps adding to the tension and makes situations even worse.

Once you start this one, just know that even the most hardened horror fans struggle to finish it. Good luck. You'll need it.
