6. Super Paper Mario - Oh No, Not Mimi!
Remember: just because it's made out of paper, it doesn't make it any less terrifying. Just because there's no blood and viscera doesn't make it any less gross.
In fact, I'd say because Mimi is so cute and harmless makes it evening more sickening when she transforms.
Watching that cute, cubed head creak its way upside down is just the first phase of this transformation. It's when she sprouts six insect-like legs out of said head that the sickness really kicks in.
It wasn't a surprise that we'd have to fight Mimi, as she's one of Count Bleck's goons. Yet given the nature of the game, I was expecting... I don't know, a comical weapon to be pulled out from somewhere.
Not "Fisher-Price, Kid Friendly Insectoid Queen" that we got. Even when she joins you after the battle (this is a Mario game, no one really dies), we're still wary of her.
Anyone that can go from cute little pixel person to inverted head demon monster is enough to put your party on edge.
