10 Video Games You Can Expect At E3 2020

Bethesda

Bethesda's E3 2019 showing was fine. It had two new IP that we weren't expecting but the Fallout 76 apology was disingenuous, the middle section of mobile gaming was dull, and ending on Doom Eternal was underwhelming.

Next year, with the new consoles announced and looming, we can expect Bethesda to finally reveal its mysterious new IP, Starfield, in its entirety. Bethesda Game Studios' Creative Director, Todd Howard, has repeatedly implied that both Starfield and The Elder Scrolls VI are far away from completion, but surely a reveal of Starfield is a must at next year's showcase?

It's important to understand just how much is riding on Starfield. While Fallout 4 was a critical and commercial success, it marked the last time gamers were willing to give Bethesda a pass for its horrid engine. Bethesda didn't get the message though, because it released the substantially worse Fallout 76 and gamers said enough.

Since then, the spotlight has been on Bethesda like never before. Starfield absolutely must be a more polished experience if Bethesda want to win gamers back. However, considering how nonchalantly Howard acknowledged the shortcomings of Fallout 76 when talking to IGN, there's a good chance Starfield will not be the quantum leap it needs to be.
