10 Video Games You Can Expect At E3 2020
4. Resident Evil
When the Blair Witch demo showed on Microsoft's stage at E3, you'd have been forgiven for thinking it was a new Resident Evil or Outlast. The similarities were plain to see; beautiful graphics, similar art-style, creepy af woods, and a video camera acting as your see-in-the-dark companion. Blair Witch looks pretty great but damn if we weren't hoping it was Resident Evil 8.
Well, by E3 2020 it will have been 3 years since the incredible Resident Evil 7 and we're due a trailer for the sequel. Obviously, we have no clue if the next entry in the series will be a direct continuation of the story in 7, including the first-person viewpoint, but that would be a-ok by most people.
Resident Evil 7 was a critical success, sold over 6 million copies, and restored the series to its former status as king of horror. Not to mention, it's one of the very best PlayStation VR titles to this day. Suffice to say, it did absolutely everything Capcom needed and then some.
So a reveal for Resident Evil 8 seems likely for E3 2020 and it's guaranteed to be a next-gen title. All that being said, we'd happily take a Resident Evil 3 Remake trailer please and thanks.
