10 Ways Assassin’s Creed 2017 Could Be The Best Yet

5. Don't Be Afraid To Leave The Confines Of The City Again

Since Assassin's Creed 2 is generally considered to be the series' high-point, many requests for future instalments hearken for a revisit to the second game's strong features. The city playground in Assassin's Creed 2 was a joy to explore, but in truth we've seen more than enough of that setting by now.

In Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag, the map was a far more diverse and intriguing prospect. Building on the landscapes of Assassin's Creed 3, Black Flag took to the high seas and split the setting across multiple islands and land masses. The result was - for me - the series' best map to date.

One moment you'd be guiding Edward through the bustling streets of an upstart city, and the next you're scaling cliffs and traversing jungles above the roaring sea. The variety on offer in this game was startlingly good, and heading back to the cities for Unity and Syndicate was a major disappointment afterwards.

Take us off the beaten track, Ubisoft; it's time for a holiday again!
