10 Ways Assassin’s Creed 2017 Could Be The Best Yet

4. Use The Division's Dark Zone As A Multiplayer Inspiration

Multiplayer modes for the Assassin's Creed series have been more miss than hit over the years, leading to Ubisoft scrapping any multiplayer involvement in the most recent instalment. This is a shame, as there have been a few promising signs and ideas with this over the years.

The multiplayer modes in Assassin's Creed Unity were, while broken and buggy, a decent foundation. Letting players access the same objectives and targets within the defined areas was a solid idea, and teams who are communicating well with each other could pull off some remarkable feats across their missions.

Taking this basic mode and applying it to an arena like The Division's Dark Zone could finally crack the multiplayer for Assassin's Creed once and for all. An area of the map could be designated to slums or savage lands, with dangerous objectives hidden within the walls. This would encourage more teamwork and less of a hardcore PvP focus than in the Dark Zone, but the potential for turning rogue and sabotaging teammates could easily still exist.

It may be difficult to employ and the game's setting would have a large impact on how it could work, but I would truly love for Ubisoft to finally perfect an Assassin's Creed multiplayer experience.
