10 Ways Nintendo Dropped The Ball At E3 2018

7. Not A Single Thing For Metroid Prime 4

Metroid Prime 4 was a pleasant surprise when it was first revealed with a logo last year. This helped restore faith to gamers who were waiting to see not just what the overall quality of Samus Returns would be, but also gave hope to long-time fans who had endured Federation Force and Other M in years past.

Yet many gamers believed the Prime trilogy was just that: Three games released across GameCube and Wii. No doubt, it would have been a serious waste of money had Nintendo chosen to produce Metroid Prime 4 on the Wii U as the system never sold enough to justify such an investment.

But without even so much as a trailer with some flashy cinematics to show where and when this game is to take place, some Nintendo fans are a little jittery. From Nintendo's point of view, they want to ensure big-hitting games are coming out each year for Switch - and for the most part, they're delivering on that promise made. But to leave Metroid until 2019 or maybe even 2020 still leaves doubts in the mind. After all, Retro Studios aren't developing this one. It's all down to Namco Bandai.
