10 Ways Red Dead Redemption 2 Can Build On GTA V's Best Features
1. Character Customization
The campaign in Grand Theft Auto V was littered with clothing stores and hairstyle options that let you modify the appearance of the three main protagonists, but the real joy came in the Online component, where you could create a bespoke character from scratch.
Rockstar even used a heritage system, where you could define the look of your character through their grandparents and parents, using famous characters from the series to define their look.
With the diversity of cultures present in the historic period of Red Dead Redemption 2, it would be incredible to be able to make a unique character with attributes defined by their lifestyle. Some characters could perhaps be better at gunslinging or hunting, depending on the traits you pick.
Red Dead Redemption was also decidedly lacklustre in its few outfits that John and Jack Marston could wear. It would be great to see a number of clothing and hairstyle options for the player character (or characters) in the campaign mode, much like the way you can customise Geralt Of Rivia in The Witcher 3.
