10 Ways To Make Assassin's Creed Work Again In 2017

1. A Story Worth Remembering

When is the last time an Assassin's Creed game had a satisfying beginning, middle, and end?

All too often, AC plots end up introducing a surplus of characters and many different themes, yet always fall short of their true potential. Almost every plot has numerous filler sections that could easily be removed to improve story pacing, as well as character development that ends up ignored in the long run.

The overall plot can also be messed up once the present-day and Animus storyline finally intersect with one another, and both stories become one. Due to the convoluted nature of the modern setting, this can end up weakening the Animus story and its conclusion majorly, along with the overall experience. One could argue that this is another reason to support the removal of present day sections, as the Animus storyline is typically the most interesting and cohesive.

Ubisoft needs to ensure plenty of quality assurance time when it comes to the balancing of the two stories, as well as ensuring the structure and flow of the plot is sound. This new Assassin's Creed could serve to relaunch the series back to greatness, but Ubisoft needs to acknowledge the problems that still exist, and solve them quickly.

If they don't, then a reboot may be on the horizon sooner rather than later.
