10 Ways To Make Assassin's Creed Work Again In 2017

7. Reinvent The Combat

Even though AC's combat offered a solid template for games like Arkham Asylum and Shadow of Mordor to utilize, it's time Ubi upgraded their own template. There are only so many varieties of animations you can include before just "Waiting to counter" gets repetitive.

Ubisoft attempted this in Unity and then once again with Syndicate, but it's still not quite the level of dynamism and challenge that players would hope. What Ubisoft CAN do, is utilize the large weapon set seen in Unity and allow players to fight their own way. Allow every weapon to determine the flow of combat, with enemies reacting to every massive swing or quick jab.

Also, let enemies behave and react more dynamically than ever. If each enemy can feel like a unique opponent, then combat can reach that level of challenge and unpredictability that simply hasn't been present in any AC game before. With a dynamic fighting and enemy system, combat can avoid the dreaded "repetitive" brand that many of the latest AC instalments have been labelled with.

At the very least, let the evil henchmen and enemies attack two at a time - we've been tackling foes one by one for almost a decade.
