10 Ways To Make Assassin's Creed Work Again In 2017

3. Continue With Non-Annual Releases

I'd argue that the main reason for the AC series getting so much hate is less about crazy glitches, and more about straight-up fatigue. With an Assassin's Creed game releasing every year, it was only a matter of time before fans began to grow tired. Ubisoft allowing the series an extra year of breathing room was a great decision, and needs to continue past the 2017 instalment.

It may seem counter-productive to delay a game so that you can make more money, but games like GTA V show that a quality game at launch can maintain momentum for years. If a game is non-annualized and developed until it's ACTUALLY ready for release, fan anticipation can help cause the absurd financial success that GTA V has had.

Sports games and FPS's may release annually, but they MUST make major changes/improvements to their products or risk customer fatigue themselves. Allowing developers more time to make the gameplay feel fresher and more improved is by no means a bad thing.

Besides, good word of mouth will always take you further than coasting on name recognition.
