10 Worst Areas In Dark Souls
1. Frigid Outskirts
Arriving in the Crown of the Ivory King DLC for Dark Souls 2, this was an area that led to the optional bosses Lud and Zallen.
It's probably just as well it was optional because regardless of how difficult players found the boss, it was the run to them and the enemies before the arena that were the real issues. You're started off in an area with stones and three NPC summon signs, which should be the first warning that something was wrong.
You can see a building in the distance in between flurries of snow that reduce visibility to zero, and if you time it right you can just make it before the snow blows in. The next building is visible, but when you try to repeat the same trick, there are some nasty surprises waiting. The game will spawn these Reindeer right next to you, no matter what route you take and they can do heavy damage.
The same happens after this second building, and after the third AND there can be multiple spawns at once. Then there is an invading NPC on the bridge before the boss.
Everything is unfair and nothing is fun. Don't give up, skeleton.
