3. Ridge Racer Vita

Another shockingly inept Vita title makes the list, and one that's all the more crushing because I'm a huge Ridge Racer fan. Though this latest title is slickly produced and on the surface of it seems to be a vibrant tech demo for the platform, it struggles to even feel as complete as a demo; it's a piecemeal title that is absolutely not worth the outrageous price being charged for it. The game has three tracks and five cars, which can be upgraded to six tracks and ten cars with the DLC upgrade, making this one of the most ludicrously minimalist racing games in the entire history of gaming. Though the online racing is fun for a moment, it becomes a punishing experience once you realise that anyone who is a higher level than yourself is going to be unbeatable because levelling up allows you to be able to drive significantly faster than anyone below you. This takes a lot of the fun out of the social experience of the game, and given that the single-player portion of the game is close to non-existent, this is a major issue. In short, this is one of the laziest and most cynical launch titles - or video games, period - that I have ever played. Terrible.
