10 Worst Things Warner Bros. Games Have EVER Done
9. Rejecting A John Constantine Game From Warner Bros. Games Montréal

A staunch fan favourite who has had precious little screen time considering his popularity, hellblazing anti-hero John Constantine is a character that Warner have tried for years to bring to life outside the comics - through one live-action movie (plus one middling-to-shoddy video game tie-in), several animated depictions and a short-lived live-action TV show.
But, despite this effort, and tacit acknowledgement of how much the Liverpudlian anti-hero means to DC Comics fans, they have never mustered the cojones to see a strong, coherent, well-funded and true-to-source adaptation through.
This all might have changed had the folks at Warner Bros. been receptive to WB Games Montréal's pitch for a Constantine title in the wake of Gotham Knights’ release (as reported by Bloomberg). Following initial excitement from Warner Games’ president David Haddad, his team became noncommittal around budget and timeline approvals, and after months of treading water, killed the idea, seeking a game starring a more widely recognisable character. (This ended up being The Flash, but that project was also nixed, with Montréal now reportedly working on a Game of Thrones video game instead.)
If done right, this game could have packed wise-cracking demon-hunting shenanigans into an expansive, plane-spanning mythos, harnessing the overall tone of something like the Arkham series while being even more violent, more sweary, and a good deal more humorous. And, if you ask us, that’s the perfect blend - “recognisable character”or not.
