Skyrim's intro might be one of the most universally hated tutorials in games. It's long and tedious, you can't skip it, and worst of all, it doesn't teach you anything important that you wouldn't be able to figure out yourself.

However, it turns out that Skyrim does contain a more useful tutorial that even rewards you for doing it.

It's just that it's set in such a faraway and remote location that even veteran players have never visited.

To the south of Falkreath, near the Ancestor's Glade, there is a small hut belonging to a widow called Angi. The woman will be wary of the player when they first approach her, but after a short conversation, she will offer to give you lessons on archery.

Unlike the intro tutorial, Angi's lessons actually provide the player with useful hints on how to increase their accuracy. The tutorial is genuinely informative and even rewards you with free archery points, but none of this really matters, since, well, Angi's hut is in the middle of nowhere!

The location is remote, and it's hard to reach due to being on a mountain, so no one, especially new players, is going to discover it unless they spend hours exploring Skyrim.

What's the point of making this encounter into a tutorial, then?!
