10 Worst Ways To Die In Video Games

3. Dying At The Last Minute - Any FromSoftware Game Ever

Anyone who's played a FromSoftware game has seen those two little words on the screen that cause so much pain. YOU DIED.

Yeah, no sh*t Dark Souls, we just died to that boss for the 80th time, but thanks for rubbing it in a bit more!

Of course death and the FromSoftware games have a very special relationship. Every death you have causes you to git gudder at the game, learning from your mistakes and refining your techniques to hopefully finally progress.

However, there's a particular type of death that stings more than anything in From games, and that's the death that occurs at the very last minute. You know the one: you've spent ages whittling down the health of the boss, and it's gonna take one or two more hits max for it to go down.

"I can do this!" you think to yourself, and - forgetting what you're playing - you charge in with reckless abandon thinking you can get in those two hits before the boss gets you.

WRONG. The boss thwacks you with its tail/arm/backside/flaming fire breath/insert-horrible-death-bringing-thing here and before you know it, those words are on the screen again.

YOU DIED. *internal rage screaming intensifies*
