The Echo Chamber stands out from most of the other Destiny bosses because it's way more than just a matter of shooting it till it dies. Well, essentially that's what you're doing, but it's designed with a more traditional rhythm, so you can only shoot this boss at certain moments, and need to hide from its lethal laser beam while pressing switches around the constantly shifting arena. Despite the arena being a large donut, the space you have to run and hide around in is limited by a rotating force-field (just imagine being stuck in a giant version of those hotel lobby rotating doors with a floating mechanised head that wants to eviscerate you). But what really makes this battle memorable is how it looks and sounds. It takes place in a spectacular circular arena with a force-field surrounding the violent otherworldly orb in the middle. The sound is particularly awesome, as the creature emits uncanny roars that sound like a mixture of some kind of primordial Lovecraftian beast with a sentient machine from some other dimension. There are lots of reasons to hate Destiny, but this lengthy, mind-blowing battle is the game at its finest.
