11 Facts You Never Knew About The Development Of Metal Gear Solid
8. Most Of The Voice Actors Used Pseudonyms
What's worse than most of the voice actors putting themselves through the ringer to make sure they gave the best performance possible, is that in the first game most of them didn't even receive the credit they deserved. Although the practice of fully-voiced characters was still in its infancy, most of the people hired for the original game were professional actors - quite a rarity at the time. Unfortunately, the project didn't receive any support from the Screen Actors Guild, which meant most of the cast had to use pseudonyms for the game's final release. Fortunately, the Gamecube remake, The Twin Snakes, featured the full cast in all its glory, even if it didn't quite make up for the fact that the title the majority of people played had a credit list that was made up mostly of fake names.
