11 Fantasy Premier League Players You Must Steer Clear Of

3. Marcus Rashford (Man United) - £7.0

Marcus Rashford was one of the sensations of last season.

Having begun the season attempting to consolidate his place in the Man United U-18 side, he ended the campaign with a plane ticket to France as part of the England Euro 2016 squad. His rapid acceleration is exciting, and was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise depressingly dreary campaign at Old Trafford.

However, if you thought the 18-year-old was set to repeat his antics on a consistent basis and realise his potential as the next Wayne Rooney, think again. The addition of the mercurial Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the presence of the aforementioned Scouser should mean that Rashford is used sparingly this season.

He may have helped himself to 55 points following his debut in February of this year, but the kid was never supposed to be leading the line for the Red Devils at such a tender age. It is more a damning indictment of the club’s negligence in the transfer market rather than his prominence in front of goal, however well he applied well when given the opportunity.

Priced at £7.0, one would be a fool to put him in when the likes of Troy Deeney and Jermain Defoe cost the same.
